How to find us: Come into Entrance B, the department is opposite to the leisure centre, go through the Green Entrance by the bus stop, turn left and the department is on the left.

Please be aware our walk in services are primarily for screening and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections, if you require non urgent contraception or have other non urgent sexual health issues, please make an appointment)

Department of Sexual Health, Salisbury District Hospital offers appointments and walk-in clinics

Staff here specialise in:

Emergency Contraception (Intra-uterine devices may not be available at the time, but we will always try our best to get you seen by another clinic location).
Combined pill, patch and ring
Progestogen only pill
Depo injection & Sayana Press
Implants
Intra-uterine devices/systems (coils – please be aware, coil fits are not always available in every clinic location, but we will do our best to find a clinic location near to you)
Diaphragms
Condoms – male and female
Cervical smears (we are unfortunately only able to do smears whilst you are booked for a contraception or a screening appointment, if you require just the smear, you will need to book with your GP)
Screens/testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
Hepatitis B vaccination

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

APPOINTMENT CLINICS –

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment time. This enables you to fill in your registration form before your appointment time starts.

Please give yourself plenty of time to find the location of your appointment and to find parking. Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has plenty of parking locations but may be in high demand during peak times of the day.

If you are more than 5 minutes late, please be aware you may not be seen. If you are aware that you may be late, please email shc-tr.sexualhealth@nhs.net so we can inform the nurse or doctor. The doctor or nurse that you are booked to see will make the final decision as to whether you can be seen.

WALK-IN CLINICS -

We are now running our Walk-in services at the Department of Sexual Health, Salisbury Hospital as follows:

Monday afternoons - 13.30 to 16.00 (doors open at 13.00)

Wednesday mornings - 09.00 to 12.00 (doors open at 08.30)

Thursday afternoons - 13.30 to 16.00 (doors open at 13.00)

This is first come, first served. We may close the clinic early depending how many people attend the walk-in clinic on the day, so please ensure you arrive as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
