Important information about our Service including Walk-in clinics, please click here

Have you returned or been in contact with someone recently from Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya or Uganda in the past 21 days? If so, please DO NOT attend any of our clinic sites but email us on shc-tr.sexualhealth@nhs.net for further advice.

There are just a few things that we ask you to do before attending our services:

1 –Try not to pass urine for at least 1 hour (2 hours preferable) before your appointment or attending the walk in, if you do pass urine within the hour, it may affect the tests ability to pick up an infection and you may get an inaccurate result.

2 –If you are attending our walk in service, be prepared to wait, we cannot predict how busy a walk in will be as it depends on how many people decide to attend. Please also be aware we may have other clinics running along side the

walk in, so you may see someone who came in after you go in before you.

3 –If you have language difficulties, if you are booking an appointment, please make the receptionist aware so an interpreter can be booked in advance, if you attend a walk in session, please mention it to the receptionist.

4 – If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, you may not be seen on that day and may be required to re-book the appointment for another day. For more information, please click here for our Late Attendee Policy.
